Hooray for Puree!

I am quite proud of myself today. I did not sit around in my pjs all day and do nothing (however, I AM still in my pjs)...but I made lots of baby food today! So far I've made: pears (which turned brown before I could get them frozen, ugh!), sweet potatoes, peaches, butternut squash, avacado, plums and prunes! My freezer is now well-stocked with all kinds of yummy goodies for my ever-growing boy! Hooray for purees!

Cousin Kel

Last Monday, Landon and I drove to TPA to pick up Josh's first cousin Kelley. She was working in Miami and then had some vacation days, so she decided to spend them with us! It was such an awesome visit for us. Kelley is a professionsal nanny and let me tell you...she's good, really good. Landon adored her and was sad to see her go. I'm pretty sure when he woke me up in the middle of the night that night, he was asking for her! :)

Kelley and I got to spend a lot of time together hanging out in St. Petersburg. We went on walks by the water, site-seeing downtown, shopping at International, and got pedicures! Landon loved having the extra attention, and I loved having the extra help! She was such a blessing...I even got to go get my hair done! It was so relaxing and rejuvenating. I'm not sure if Kelley had more fun or if I did! I think it was more of a vacation for me!

Sitting Up

Well...it's amazing. Landon is rapidly approaching 6 months old! I can't believe it. Where did the time go? And why didn't it feel this fast when I was up all night listening to a crying baby? Sigh.

Landon has managed to reach a new milestone this week: sitting up! He was almost there a couple of times last week, but yesterday he sat up for nearly 6 minutes...unsupported! What an awesome thing to watch. He looks so big sitting up. Like he should just take off crawling or something. Uh-oh...that's next, right! Yikes! I think it won't be long before we need to investe in some serious baby gates. Oh boy...
